Cannot validate user image

Cannot validate user image was created by rbuelund
When i in frotend in the admin module, am trying to validate an image a user has uploaded on their profile - I get "Error 500: You must provide at least one recipient email address."
What is that ??

That's a Joomla error when an email is trying to be sent, but there's nobody to send it to. It sends an email to the user letting them know their image was approved or rejected. Does that user have a valid email address?

The user HAS an valid e-mail on the profile - that is not the problem. The system can also send mails - also not the problem.. I have never experinced this error before on the site.

Strange. Not sure what to suggest. This is working perfectly fine in my tests. Is this happening for all avatar approvals or just that user specifically? Does the avatar get approved or does that also fail?
