Why not just translate the text partially?

Example:

LINK this is a sample. IMG LINK

Add "this is a sample" to the language file to translate only that line of text.

It was just an example. Think of those as code and not just plain test.

Add whatever text is in place for Description1 to the language file to see if it will handle translation of only part of the description. However I do believe it will not. You should be able to just put the HTML inside the language string as well if I'm not mistaken.

HTML translations are working fine. It's likely your editor is stripping the tags or it's being translated in your editor to htmlspecialchars.

I added:
[code:1]
"<p>Test</p>" => "<strong>Just A Test</strong>",
[/code:1]
To: components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/cbpaidsubscriptionsenglish/english.php

Then I added:
[code:1]
<p>Test</p>
[/code:1]

To my plans description, which came out as: Just A Test
