ok I have had a read of the manual and a look around under the bonnet but after searching around and setting up a test subscription plan I have a feeling subs can't do what I was hoping.
I can see that it is possible to activate and de-activate fields but what about tabs?
I would like to make certain tabs and plugins available only to a specific plan, is this possible, have I missed something?

Yes, it's possible with a plugin. This plugin is contained in the package for CBSubs.
File label: cbplug_int_plug_cbsubsfieldstabsprotect-E.zip
After this is installed and published go to the params for the tab you want protected by a certain plan.

I am reading Chapter 7. I have 2 plans, but neither shows in the plans field. See pic.
