well... .so another purchase later today... the payapal redirect page was working perfectly. I think this is an issue of a VERY slow site on a VERY slow hosting company and that the info was just not rendering fast enough. The hosting for this page is slllloooowwww and the site loads very slow... very annoying.

It's possible your server is simply choking on the demand. However, encase that does happen you can from your PayPal account force PayPal to retry the IPN. I recommend maybe finding a more reliable host; especially if you're using eCommerce solution such as CBSubs or any other eCommerce solution for that matter.
