by the way how did you enter the backend?

I edited configuration.php directly to enable debug mode. Saw the error, navigated to the module directly and appended -DISABLED to it so Joomla can't find and load it. This prevent it from causing its fatal error. Once in backend I enabled the plugin it needed, removed -DISABLED, and confirmed it was then working. Once done I disabled debug mode in configuration.
