Approval and Email Confirmation Problem

The synchronize tool is no substitution for not using CB registration. It should not be ran at regular intervals to circumvent that. You really need to be using CB registration then passing that information to your other extensions; you can do this with CB Auto Actions in a Query action using database queries or using a Code action using PHP (if API is needed).

I don't understand why it is a big issue.

Our website has been running for nearly 3 years - we implemented Joomla and JFusion last September and it took a lot of time to ensure that everything worked correctly keeping phpbb3 as the primary registration and joomla as the slave, Joomla registration is completely disabled. JFusion creates the user in Joomla and also updates permissions based on phpbb3 permission groups.

We installed Community Builder last month CB didn't mind creating all of the users based on Joomla then, apart from the odd little niggle here and there which we have ironed out everything seems fine.

The only thing that is causing us an issue is the CB user creation. Which upon synchronising solves the issue. Maybe its something I can take up with JFusion since their bridge already creates the Joomla user.

At this stage I don't think we are in a position to completely overhaul our primary user registration process... Sorry

Possibly, they'd need to have support for CB and use CB API to register a user, which I'd be glad to assist them with if they contact us directly.

For future reference we may not be able to provide you with support regarding registration and possibly login workflows issues then as your install is incomplete. For example no CB registration trigger is fired by doing what you're doing. This means any integration using those triggers will fail.
