Sounds like Group A fields are searchable, but Group B fields aren't. I don't know what to tell you. You've some sort of configuration issue whether with CB Conditional (you can enable/disable search conditioning) or CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection. Try disabling CB Conditional within CB > Plugin Management and confirm if displays properly. If it doesn't then disable CBSubs Fields Tabs Protection and confirm if displays properly. If still doesn't then it's neither of those plugins and something else is configured incorrectly.

It worked out unpublishing CB Subs Field Control must have been some conflict caused by the settings or under the hood.
