Please install CB 1.7 ontop of your existing install (including the modules!). Once done repeat the process for GJ 2.4 to ensure your install is up to date and working. Once done confirm if issue is present. I'd be happy to perform these steps for you with super administrator login credentials provided via PM. I've no idea what's causing the logout as GJ has nothing even remotely close to doing something like that in source.
