No login presented for Registered articles

Hi,

We are using the latest Joomla 2.5.7 with the latest CB 1.8.1 and CBSubs 2.0.2 and do not get any redirect to the CB login or CBSubs Subscription plans for articles that are set to Registered access.

This unfortunately looks like a Joomla 2.5.x issue, e.g.

joomlacode.org/gf/project/joomla/tracker/?action=TrackerItemEdit&tracker_item_id=28512

Can you please help resolve this issue so we can get CB and CBSubs working with Joomla 2.5 as CB and CBSubs can't be used properly with Joomla 2.5 and this redirect issue.

I have tried the CB Core redirect Joomla plugin and other third part core redirects that do not resolve this issue.

CB Core Redirect is the only solution to redirect from Joomla user component pages to CB. If it's not sending to login/registration then where is it sending you?

Thanks for the reply.

CB Core Redirect is not sending me to any login/registration page.

It's just not redirecting at all in Joomla 2.5.7 as it does in Joomla 1.5. It only goes to the page that is set to Registered without showing the content and then displays "You are not authorized to view that resource" at the top of the page without redirecting to the login/registration page.

I have also check the permission settings on all categories and they are all set to Reader.

This also happens on another Joomla 2.5.7 site with CB and CBSubs that is also not redirecting to the login/registration page.

Both websites have been upgraded from Joomla 1.5.26 to Joomla 2.5.7 using JUpgrade.

Hope you can help resolve this redirect not working issue.

What is the URL of the page that gives you an access denied error? Seams like a permissions issue somewhere. Likely menu item permissions.

All menu items access are set to Public, here is a sample page that shows this error that does not redirect to login/registration page, e.g.

www.act.ipaa.org.au/Annual-Reports/agencies-reporting-information.html

Is that a 3rd party Joomla extension that's trying to be accessed? If so it's likely the extension is serving that message. CB doesn't redirect from URLs like that. It simply takes users from Joomla user component pages to CB pages instead. If an extension serves an error instead of sending to login/registration then it's something that needs to be addressed in that extension.
