Unfortunately currently you can not send emails in advance; the possibility of this is being investigated for a future release. :(

I've created a custom set of scripts that can do this (a combination of what I did earlier and Ruth's great work).

If anyone is interested - I'm happy to provide a customized set up - pretty much whatever intervals and emails you'd like.

feel free to contact me on my profile.

Hey Rod, can I get that script from you? 30 days before expiry with a generic e.mail that I can edit is fine.

That's great Rod, I hope they incorporate it into the new revisions as it's such an obvious thing not to be present!

This is scheduled for implementation in the next release (CBSubs 1.2). Hopefully will be a speedy release instead of a long wait as was CBSubs 1.1. We've plans to adjust our releases to be shorter and smaller so we can release more faster.

I wrote an external script that grabs everyone who's subs are expiring in 10 days, then again in 5 days. If they haven't re-upped - the expiration email gets sent from cbsubs.

So, this script sends out the CBsubs expiration email or it sends out the message that you specify in the script? Your posts is a little vague.

Hi Piston,

you'd have to read all the posts in this thread to get the gist of what's happening with this issue... but basically...

I wrote a small php script that can be set up to send emails to people who's subscription is expiring in 'x' number of days. One person had me set it up for them to email at 60, 30, 15 days before - then 14 days after....

I also have it so you can get an email listing everyone who was notified.

the script resides on your servers - you have to provide database info - since its outside the Joomla site... and set up a cron job to run it daily.

hth

It is NOT polished... is not part of joomla or CB... just does the job.
