Overview
This single Community Builder plugin adds literally dozens of new features to your website.
It integrates with the CB Login module to authenticate users using Google Friends connect, Facebook, Twitter and any opensocial compliant environment. It also integrates with the CB fields manager and add two new field types: Friends Connect Gadgets and Facebook Social Plugins.
Features
CB Connect has the following characteristics and feature functions that can be configured:
- Universal Joomla Compatibility
Joomla Compatibility As a CB 1.4 compatible plugin it will automatically work natively on all Joomla versions. Joomla 1.0.x, Joomla 1.5.x and Joomla 1.6.x.
- Google Authentication
Friend Connect You can configure CB Connect to interface with your Google Friends Connect account and allow users to join your website using their Google account.
- FaceBook Authentication
FaceBook Authentication You can interface CB Connect with your Facebook application to allow users to login to your website using their FaceBook account.
- Twitter Authentication
Twitter Authentication You can interface CB Connect with your Twitter application to allow users to login to your website using their Twitter account. Google Friends Connect also supports Twitter sign-in.
- OpenSocial Applications
OpenSocial Apps Configure one or more of 8 OpenSocial compatible providers for additional API features. These settings are for advanced users. Providers supported: iGoogle, Hi5, MySpace, Netlog, Orkut, Partuza, Plaxo, XRDS.
- Connected User Panel
Connected User Panel Backend panel allows you to see users that are using CB Connect authentication support to login to your website. Also gives connection reference identifier.
- 10 Facebook Social Plugins
Social Plugins Create new Facebook Social Plugin CB fields to link to one of 12 available Facebook applications to integrate with your website. Depending on the exact application selected it can be linked by ID (user profile), by Page or by Site. Supported applications are: Activity Feed, Comments, Facepile, Like Button, Live Stream, Name, Profile Picture, Recommend Button, Recommendations, Invite.
- 12 Friend Connect Gadgets
Google Gadgets Create new Friend Connect Gadget CB fields to link to one of 12 available Google Gadget to integrate with your website. Depending on the exact gadget selected it can be linked by ID (user profile), by Page or by Site. Supported applications are: Activity Feed, Comments, Facepile, Like Button, Live Stream, Name, Profile Picture, Recommend Button, Recommendations, User Status, Share Button.
Use the CB Content module and the CB Content Bot to place a CB Connect CB field (linking to Facebook plugin or Google Gadget) in a module position (example: Facebook Recommend or Facebook Share button in a module on your website) or in a Joomla article (example: Facebook comment following your Joomla article).
