In order to assist and facilitate the decision making process of prorpietary license customers, we have compiled a list of FAQ items:

1. I am already a CBSubs (proprietary) license holder with an active mainteancne period. Why can't I download CBSubs GPL 3.0 ?
   
   CBSubs GPL is not an maintenance release for the CBSubs proprietary licensed product. CBSubs GPL is a new open-source product that is released under a new GPL license. This is why we are offering a migration plan for existing CBSubs proprietary license customers to migrate to the new CBSubs GPL product.
   
   
2. What happens if I do not take advantage of the migration promotion offer? Will I still be able to use my existing CBSubs proprietary product? Will there be updates?
   
   You can continue using your existing CBSubs proprietary product that is already installed on your website. There will be no new CBSubs proprietary maintenance releases. If your proprietary license user count limitation is reached, you will need to migrate to the new CBSubs GPL product at the normal price.
   
   
3. How do I upgrade my existing CBSubs proprietary installation to the new CBSubs GPL product?
   
   Once you complete your migration purchase and download CBSubs GPL 3.0, you can install CBSubs GPL 3.0 right over you existing CBSubs 2.0.2 installation. All your current settings will remain intact and you will no longer have a license tab in the settings icon area. Your new installation will have no more user count limitation, no more site count limitation and no more need for ioncube loader because there is no more source code encryption.
   Plus you can install CBSubs GPL 3.0 on as many of your websites as you want at no extra charge.
   
   
4. I have migrated to the new CBSubs GPL license and I have upgraded all my CBSubs proprietary license installation. What happens when my CBSubs GPL membership expires in a year? Will I still be able to use CBSubs GPL 3.0 on my sites?
   
   Yes, you can continue to use CBSubs GPL on all your websites even after your CBSubs GPL membership expires. You can also install whatever you downloaded on new websites. The only thing you will not be able to do if your CBSubs GPL membership expires is to download any new CBSubs GPL product releases or post new support requests on the CBSubs GPL support forums.
   
   
5. If I let me CBSubs GPL membership subscription expire and decide after 6 months that I need a new subscription, am I required to purchase a subscription to include the 6 month gap?
   
   No. You can purchase a new subscription that starts on the date you purchase it and ends in 12 months.
