a plugin for Tracking Specific Users?

first of all , i thank all people whom working hard to give CB additional improvments to make it even more powerful!

i had an idea... which can be Very very useful (for me at
least) :P

its about tracking users or "watching them!"

the problem i face usually in big communities that i usualy prefer tracking the newest things from certine users only, not all users!

its not efficient if i am going to check every user profile to see if anything new...its time consuming and something is a must afterall for communities if they grown big!

the idea simply is like this (the way of how i thought of it):

i can add a user to my tracking list, from his/her user profile page in case i wanted to track his new.

and then whenever this user update something in the community(articles , gallery ,forum posts , etc)
i had a special page or tab maybe...for my fav users updates!

am gona see at each time a string for user name and what he/she updated recently each time added to the list...an example would look like this:

mr.plugin.........updated his "articles"........on Today
mr.plugin.........updated his "gallery"........on 16/05/2006
mr.plugin.........updated his "gallery"........on 13/05/2006
..
etc

so on every step he does a line added to my page related to my tracking list users...

i tried to think of it as simple as possible ...
and i can click on his name to link me to his profile page of course...

if anyone think it is a useful idea, please support this topic. any ideas to improve this , are highly welcome!

and sorry for my bad english.

thanks in advance! :)

well that is a very special module but I know about a component for joomla, which does almost what you want!

Check it out: www.joomlastats.org

It gives you detail statistics about your page views but also in addition it shows, what the individual logged in user did!!!
Very nice!

Hope that helped.

But as far as I know superlog doesnt show the user by name!? or does it and also it collects way to much data. My database was full after a week! Not a good idea if u have a lot of traffic!

Do me a favour an go to www.st-sebastian-beckum.de and click on the green image, which says TOP 50 and vote for the page. Thanks!

thanks guys for the tools , but i had a look on them before.

i was thinking of something very simple and for public use, easy tracking and storing last events of tracked members and displayed maybe in my profile tab or something?
