Hey guys,

I just installed stable and have been having fun with playing around, setting up custom fields and so on, then I realised something to my horror:

New users can't register!!!!! As soon as they fill in their registration thei bounce to a 404 page - I think its because I'm running OpenSEF but surely it shouldn't mess this up and someone's got to have experienced this!!!

Help!

weird - when i turned off opensef registration worked alright.... hmmm, but i need opensef and yet didn't define any specific urls for comprofiler!? It should work! rrr.

Same problem here. I reported this to the author of openSEF, and he is working on the problem.

What have you done in the meantime? I've been pulling my hair out deciding whether opensef urls already established are more important than registration and opted for the latter - vivre la CB!!

I know! What a quandry. I'm trying to decide if losing my search engine placement is worth any new registrations.

Currently, I'm allowing new registrations with openSEF disabled. But I know, with each passing day, the search engines are getting my 404s, and taking my links out of their database.

I just upgraded to openSEF 2.0.0-RC5, and all my problems disappeared. I can now register new users!!!
