File type icon shown for thumbnail

File type icon shown for thumbnail was created by stevebor1
I have a BMP file icon showing instead of the thumbnail for an image. I have GD2 installed, only, so i figure it is because gd2 can resize a bmp? is that correct?

Really? when i upload a BMP Image
It showing BMP file icon in Gallery instead of the thumbnail by GD2 Library.
must i chance anything?

GD cannot resize bmp images.
