CB 1.2 User Profile not there

CB 1.2 User Profile not there was created by hstanclift
When following the directions on p26 of the doc,

• Select the New Item button and you will see the • Select Menu Item Type
panel with a tree structure of items.
• Choose Community Builder from the Internal Link tree item to further
open the tree and reveal addition Community Builder items as illustrated
in Figure 7

My set up does not look like Figure 7 on P27. There is no submenu as illustrated.

Apparently I don't have something installed correctly but I have no idea what or where to begin. Looking for a direction or suggestion. Thanks!

These specific instructions refer to Joomla 1.5.X series.

Are you on Joomla 1.5.X?

Ah, the million dollar question. I began installing using the readme document and quickly took the advice of buying the documentation. It is within the documentation that I'm noticing my install doesn't match the figures in the documentation. So the answer is, I believe I'm following the steps of the doc but suspect I may have done something wrong when using the readme file.

Is this a fresh installation or an upgrade?

If it's a fresh installation I recommend you should uninstall everything already installed, and start over again.
