Field Error after switching tab of field

Hello,

I encounter the following error after switching the a field from one tab to another.

e.g. Field "mobile phone" was in Tab A but after saving and switching file mobile phone to Tab B.

Then all fields no more be saved in the Frontend. The database checker gives the following error message for all fields gained after the switched one.
[code:1]There are 10 column(s) missing in the comprofiler table, which are defined as fields (rows in comprofiler_fields):

- Field cb_phone - Column cb_phone is missing from comprofiler table.

- Field cb_fax - Column cb_fax is missing from comprofiler table.

- Field cb_mobileph - Column cb_mobileph is missing from comprofiler table.

- Field cb_employees - Column cb_employees is missing from comprofiler table.

- Field cb_department - Column cb_department is missing from comprofiler table.

- Field cb_position - Column cb_position is missing from comprofiler table.

- Field cb_cadress - Column cb_cadress is missing from comprofiler table.

- Field cb_cstreet - Column cb_cstreet is missing from comprofiler table.

- Field cb_ccity - Column cb_ccity is missing from comprofiler table.

- Field cb_czip - Column cb_czip is missing from comprofiler table.

This one can be fixed by deleting and recreating the field(s) using components -> Community Builder -> Field Management.
Please additionally make sure that columns in comprofiler table are not also duplicated in users table.[/code:1]

May there be any solution to fix this without deleting all fields and then making new the deleted ones?

My configuration is:
php 4.4.4
mysql 5.0.27
Joomla 1.0.15

If the column is really missing, then the best approach is the suggested one.

When the column is missing there is no data for these fields - so no data will be lost.

Hey Nick many thanks for your fast reply.

I know that there was no data filled in. Because I am just setting the system up.

But in fact it is very disappointing if one or two fields are published under the wrong tab and after the correction of the tab you have to remove an amount of new fields.

Don't understand.
You are saying that you can reproduce this problem?

If so, please tell us how - then we will check and try to fix.

OK - I will try to give as much information as possible to reproduce this error.

1. Step
Update CB 1.1 to CB 1.2RC
(I used the expert way to update)
3 Tabs and only 3 fields were in the former 1.1 install.

CB 1.1 Tab and Field Content
Tabs: Login Info, Contact Info, Company Info
Added Fields: Company Name in Company Info;
Title in Contact Info, experience in Contact Info

2. Step
After successful update and db check
going to the next one.

3. Step
Adding some fields to the "Contact Info"
like phone, fax, street, zip, city

4. Step
Recognizing that the fields street, zip and city are in the wrong tab.

5. Step
"Field Management" and edit the field "street". Changed the tab from "Contact Info" to "Company".

6. Step
Doing the same to the fields zip and city.
Both Tab from "Contact Info" to "Company"

7. Now the posted error message shows up and no field saving in the front end is possible any more.

All of the "Tab changed" fields and also some former added fields have to be removed completely. This is the only to get CB work correct again.

Hope you got everything what you need to reproduce this error. I did this 3 times.

For my configuration have look at my initial post.

Looks very much as confirmed issue #2 of CB 1.2 RC.

Check the confirmed issues sub-forum, or wait for RC 2 (shouldn't be very far away now).
