Not Able To Upgrade to RC4

Not Able To Upgrade to RC4 was created by lizwb
I've downloaded the newest CB release (CB 1.2 RC4) but can not get it installed on to Joomla.
I've tried what the 'READ ME' files have suggested, and still can't get it to work.
When I try to upload the package file, I get this error:
"Another component is already using directory: "/home/users/web/b843/moo.fixer/components/com_comprofiler/" "
Help, please.

Sounds like you had a previous version that you did not unistall or a failed install attempt.
You need to manually remove the com_comprofiler folders in your component and your administrator/component folders and try again.

DELETE manualy /com_comprofiler/ and u ll be able to install it ...
But backup your 3PD ... OOOPS (edit) LOOKS LIKE IT IS NOT CORRECT AT ALL ....

BTW i think this is standard issue when we are trying to upgrade from RC3 TO RC4 AND THIS SHOULD BE STICKY.

Hi,
this is only an issue when your hoster has not configured their server properly. With the right configuration and permissions the webserver process should be able to delete files and folders. This is not related to CB or Joomla!.
