DT Delete Me - this CB plugin adds the ability for your site users to delete their own account. That's one less maintenance task off of your list! Delete Me will add a new profile tab including a Delete button and a customizable message. Admin is notified of the user deletion and the user is logged out then sent one final email to confirm, which is also customizable. For use with CB 1.2.x and Joomla! 1.5.

Really useful component to have but there are some features which could improve the functionality, such as being able to choose where this appears (probably better under edit profile than as a tab, for example). Also the option to send a message to the admin as to why the account is being deleted.

As a safety feature it might be useful to just deactivate the user initially and fire the admin an email to say the account has been requested for deletion, allowing them to have the final say (and hence prevent potential inadvertent deletions).

Great addon for CB however would like to see 2 things in furture updates for it. #1 have it only appear when visiting your profile for example like UddeIM's Mailbox tab, appears when your looking at your profile but then is gone when looking at anyone elses. and #2 have a confirmation pop up after hitting the delete button. Incase members hit by accident.

We have updated this plugin to make sure it only appears on YOUR profile. We just submitted it (ver 1.1) to the CB directory but have also updated it on our site. Thanks.
