The AJAX Sandbox (and Pro addon) software is a media extension package that allows your users to stream videos on your site without the use of your own bandwidth and storage. It allows the admin to add 3rd party video streaming services like YouTube, MySpace, iFilm, Google videos etc through the admin interface easily. This allows the admin to decide where the users are allowed to stream their videos from.

With the specialized module that comes with the package, you can choose to display multiple types of videos streamed by your users. The module allows you to sort the streams by date, ratings, views, comments, or random. You can also choose to spotlight a single user, or a particular video category (note: ratings, views, comments and categories are features available after you have upgraded to AJAX Sandbox Pro).

You can choose to display the module vertically or horizontally, with as many streams as you like using the AJAX pagination feature. This saves your website a considerable amount of bandwidth. Multiple instances of the module can also be created by using the Copy feature in Joomla's Module Management.

Every aspect of the software's interface is build on AJAX technology. This means you're able to display large amounts of information to your users with very little bandwidth usage, and the "coolness" factor of AJAX is certainly a huge plus. By utilizing just the tags of the streams, it also prevents users from streaming malicious content that may harm your website and other users.
