Really useful component to have but there are some features which could improve the functionality, such as being able to choose where this appears (probably better under edit profile than as a tab, for example). Also the option to send a message to the admin as to why the account is being deleted.

As a safety feature it might be useful to just deactivate the user initially and fire the admin an email to say the account has been requested for deletion, allowing them to have the final say (and hence prevent potential inadvertent deletions).
