NOTE: This plugin requires the installation of the modified xajax Mambot located at cbconnector.com in the public downloads area before installing this plugin.
CB Connector is the big brother to the phpBB Connector. Old features include showing user posts in their profile along with subscriptions/watch topics when viewing their own profile. New features include support for separate databases, some xajax features, semi-automated user synchronization, as well as support for phpbb2 ( 2.0.17 or newer ), phpbb3 ( RC7 or newer ), and Categories Hierarchy. The current version is only supported on Joomla! 1.0 but a Joomla! 1.5 version will be under development in the near future. ( i.e. it does not currently work with Joomla! 1.5 )
Additional accessories ( modules, components, mambots ) can be found at our website as well. These accessories include the ability to view the forum in a wrapper, view linkable forum data in the CBC Query Module, allow searching of the forum from the Joomla! search function, etc.
This latest version also includes more functions designed to help with character encodings.

This is by far the best and most user friendly forum bridge I have ever found. Not only that, but it is very easy to install.
You get all your forum statistics, forum profile, latest posts in your CB profile tabs too and now it also works with Categories Hierarchy. Support is very good.

Hey, it works! I don't see any reason not to use phpbb now that there's a simple bridge to use. AND members have tabs under their CB profile to boot. The other bridge that's available for Joomla 1.0 was just waaay to confusing for me. This one is simple. I especially like that it supports separate data bases. Thank you SO much for the time spent in developing this bridge.
