user registration issue: always approval pending?

What I want to achieve:

-new users to be able to register only by click on confirmation email; no administrator/moderator approval.

It seems that this is not possible and although the ueser has clicked the link in email confirmation, he still needs to be approved by administrator in the back-end but in CB user adiminstration NOT in Joomla user administration (in J user admin everything looks ok). In CB back-end the user appear with an X on CONFIRMED and a clock on APPROVED tab.

My settings as they are:

CB Configuration Manager
Registration:
-Allow User Registration: yes, independently....
-Require admin approval:NO
-Require Email Confirmation: yes
-Show login on registration page: YES

In Joomla back-end (1.5.10)
Site->Global Configuration->System:
User Settings:
-Allow user registration: YES
-New User account activation: YES
-Front-end user parameters: HIDE

After reading the documentation I'm pretty sure I've got the correct settings (if not can you please help?) and still not working for my site.

I've disabled all mod_login modules (there are none published anyway) and still not getting this to work.

Don't know whether this is your problem but reading the "readme" file in v1.2.0 I see this:

11) If you want to allow registrations only through Community Builder (recommended):
- in Admin->Components->Community Builder->Configuration->Registration:
set "Allow User Registration" to
"yes, independently of global site setting"
- in Admin->Site->Global Configuration->Site(Joomla 1.0/Mambo)
or ->Users (Joomla1.5):
set "Allow User Registration" to "No".

I presume these instructions hold for 1.2.1

well, disabling the user registration in Joomla gave me the 403 error ...and kept giving me the error although the registration was suppose to be via cblogin...I'll try again and I'll come back with conclusions.

I don't know what the 403 error says, so I can't help there. Also, have you checked your parameters in CB Settings/Moderation tab?

I highly recommend the documentation subscription to fully realize the features available in CB.

After the new install of CB this works fine as well, users are able to register by email confirmation only.
