password field settings was created by videoswr
Hi,

I am using CB1.2.1 and the password field currectly demandas 6 characters lenght and numbers/letters mixed.

In backend I go to field management, edit the "password" field and I set there a minimum of 3 characters and also "any string" input. But this setting dont become active. In registation page its allways asking the same 6char. and letters/numbers.

Whats going on here?
thanks

LEt me tell you that I have searched in both forum and google ffor several minutes and could not find that post.

But thanks for that link, I have now the answer, its not possible to configure password lenght. I am just guessing why in the backend we have settings for something that doesnt work.

It does work as intended. You can make the password minimum larger than 6 characters.

One of CB's strengths is it's security. There are few extension developers that spend the amount of time CB does in ensuring your website and your members' information are as safe as possible.

Unless you're using CB 1.1 still, CB 1.2 does allow numbers, and if I remember correctly, some characters also.
