custom user groups

custom user groups was created by dasgroup
I need users to be able to pick their group(out of 5 different groups) at registration. I tried the CB JLS Group Selection component but irrespective of what group they picked, they still end up in registered. Help, please.

Am not aware of such plugin, sorry. ACL modification is unsupported and custom usergroups will only officially be supported with release and usage of Joomla 1.6, sorry.

When Joomla 1.6 has reached Stable and we've released a CB release that is compatible with Joomla 1.6. Sorry, don't have a release date or even an estimation.
