Installation failes to complete

Installation failes to complete was created by gicug
Iam using groupjive 1.8 latest and also using joomla version 1.5.17. I have tried to install group Jive. But many times trying when the installation fails to complete.

It brings a blank page on the way to installing and when i try to reload again, it says that

* Component Install: Another Component is already using directory.

But when i check in components, it shows up and the functions are working. What could be the problem?

Your help will be highly appreciated.

Blank pages are not informative and generally mean lack of PHP memory. Please enable Debug Mode and Error Reporting set to Maximum within Joomlas Global Configuration then retry. If no error is presented and still blank screen then review your server error log for the actual error that is resulting in the blank page.
