The section Nick has posted is ABOVE the section you have posted within README-UPGRADE.txt; please look carefully or review the new install PDF documentation. It is not necessary to un-install anymore on Joomla 1.5.x platforms in order to upgrade CB. It also is no longer necessary to uninstall CB plugins with CB 1.2.2 to upgrade them; simply install them and it will upgrade them automatically upon install.
