[SOLVED] Reinstall of CB with existing MySQL was created by nhtim
I have lost my CB install on my site but the MySQL database is intact. My original install is from version 1.2. My question is how do I go about reinstalling CB on my site while making sure it uses all the data in the MySQL database. Also, can I do this new install with version 1.2.2, or will I have to first reinstall version 1.2, and then upgrade it. Any help will be appreciated.

Your data won't be lost from installing CB 1.2.2, database is not removed even on an uninstall of CB; database actually needs to be manually removed if you want to COMPLETELY uninstall CB. So you're safe to simply just re-install CB through Joomla. I highly recommend running Tools directly after uninstalling though to check through your database and fix any potential errors.
