If i have a field in CB which will be a link to an exteral image (therefore a url), is there any way i could have it so when they enter the URL on their profile, when viewing their profile it appears as the target image?
Yes, this can be done using a Delimiter field and Substitutions. Simply set the field to not show on profile. Then create a delimiter field in Field Management with the following contents.
[code:1]
<img src="[cb_MYFIELD]" />
[/code:1]
Of course you'll need to edit cb_MYFIELD to be your actual field name. You may also want to use advanced substitutions with IF statements to prevent it from showing an error/blank image if the field isn't filled in. Please see tutorials in signature for further information on substitutions.
