Thinking about Joomla 1.6

Thinking about Joomla 1.6 was created by jciconsult
- Joomla 1.6 is now beta3 which makes it quite exciting
- The ACL is really wonderful.
- One of the BIG issues is when CB will natively support the full ACL.
- This includes multiple group membership and
- access control to the component
- it would be good if CB used the ACL separately for user manager
- and for the structural things like tabs, fields,plugins etc.

+ Actually beta4 has been released - guess you missed it
+ CB 1.2.3 RC2 is following Joomla 1.6 betas and currently installs just fine (you can test this since you are in the test team)
+ CB will evolve to work with Joomla 1.6
Question is: when will Joomla 1.6 reach RC status and stability?

I know it installs really well. I have been testing it out. I want to get a discussion going about how the CB ought to interact with the ACL. Basically, we should able to control permissions separately for the user function as compared to the structural function such as tabs, fields etc. This is because operationally, different administrators should have that access.

Agree with discussion proposal, but I believe it is better to start/have it on the workgroup site.
