same email address for multiple users
I have a recurring problem on several sites I need to solve.
Currently, CB does not allow you to have the same e-mail address for multiple users. It used to be possible to set that as an option in older CB versions, but I believe with 1.2 it became impossible to set and the setting is auto-detected by the system. Nice but it only adds to my problem
I know en email address is supposed to be personal and unique, and that Joomla expects is to be so. However, there are numerous situations one can think of where it would actually be quite logical, or to be expected, that 'members' in a member management syste,m like CB use the same e-mail system.
can someone advise how to construct such a system with CB that will accept the same e-mail address for multiple users?

This is not accurate.
CB follows Joomla.
Joomla 1.5 does not allow two users to share the same email address.

You would need to investigate how Joomla could be changed to accept this. CB is not the issue here as the email address is stored and checked in Joomla database / code.
