Great idea, I think this thing is a must for a good community administration! There should be added a function to handle attachments, then it would be perfect. Maybe a possibility to acess this function from frontend. e.g. for moderator-group...

The other newsletter-systems are not able to handle those extrafields from cb, as I know.

Unfortunately your hack don't works on my system (Joomla 1.0.7) When I select something from the dropdowns the indicator below shows the correct number of mails to send. When I push the send button, i get this message:

E-mail sent to 0 users (select email from #__users u, #__comprofiler c where u.id=c.user_id and ((cb_mitglied like \\\\\\\'%Nein%\\\\\\\')))

Any idea?

No idea. I currently do not have a server to test on.

However, I will implement this hack on joomla 1.0.7 sometime in the next couple of months.

I have a reseller account and some spare space if you need a place to host your test site. If you are not to crazy with space and bandwidth I will donate to the cause. If you have a domain I can set things up in a matter of minutes. Let me know if I can help...

OK, I had 3 servers.

1. is hosted server with insufficient rights for development
2. is a server of a non profit organisation - i got banend and later that server fried
3. is my personal computer that just crashed

But now I got some new HW and can continue development.

I wud like to know whether this mass mailing componenet wud work with Mambo.

I am working with Mambo but is in use of this.As always you had been considerate please show the same consderation....
