I love the extended functionality this plugin provides, however, I'm having some difficulty integrating it into my site.
I have successfully created a few fields using content from a table I added into my joomla db (jos_unit_info). I made the fields searchable in user lists, however, when I use these fields in a new list, it doesn't work. Similarly, I can't use these fields to sort or filter my user list results - I suspect these are just both symptoms of the same problem. When I run "Check Community Builder Database" I get some interesting output:

There are 8 column(s) missing in the comprofiler table, which are defined as fields (rows in comprofiler_fields):
- Field cb_doorcolor - Column cb_doorcolor is missing from comprofiler table.
- Field cb_bldg - Column cb_bldg is missing from comprofiler table.
- Field cb_primaryfrontcolor - Column cb_primaryfrontcolor is missing from comprofiler table.
- Field cb_primaryrearcolor - Column cb_primaryrearcolor is missing from comprofiler table.
- Field cb_shake - Column cb_shake is missing from comprofiler table.
- Field cb_shutters - Column cb_shutters is missing from comprofiler table.
- Field cb_bkflw - Column cb_bkflw is missing from comprofiler table.
- Field cb_backflowpreventertype - Column cb_backflowpreventertype is missing from comprofiler table.
This one can be fixed by deleting and recreating the field(s) using components / Community Builder / Field Management.
Please additionally make sure that columns in comprofiler table are not also duplicated in users table.
Checking Community Builder folders:
Avatars and thumbnails folder is Writeable.
All Core CB mandatory basics Database is up to date.

Of course, the fields being called out are the ones I created. Do I have to hand edit the comprofiler table or have I done something wrong?
I'm running Joomla! 1.5.21 with CB 1.3.1
