Hello, I was wondering how to clear the profile hits for all users in database... right now I only know how to clear them one by one

Well some users skyrocket to the top quickly (profile hit wise) and it discourages other users from putting in the work required to catch up, so when profile hits are reset... users can effectively race for a high hit count again... I had to clear user hit counts by hand for each user in the db, and it took a very long time... so I wanted to know a quick fix... I tried checking the "hits" box in the db and dropping, but that deleted the entire well um... comprofiler table... I had everything backed up, but couldn't figure it out.

what about the users that had the hits ?

the dont like their hits taken away..

i think you need to make a small php script with a foreach loop that sets hits = 0 for all users again..

dont think there is a clear cut phpmyadmin way..

Well I took a general consensus before doing this, and it excited people who felt top users were too far out of reach... so it caused a little more excitement and now people are visiting more to try and get a top spot

Just run this query in the phpMyAdmin:

UPDATE `mos_comprofiler` SET `hits` = '0';

(the table should be mos_ or jos_)

And you are done!
