Regarding the mass mail feature I have questions and suggestions:
* Are Emails send out via SMTP?
* Is it possibile to integrate a reply-to address which varies from the sending address?
* Cron job might be useful when sending out many emails

Sure, if you've configured your CMS to send via SMTP.Are Emails send out via SMTP?
No, the email address you've specified within your CMS configuration will be used.Is it possibile to integrate a reply-to address which varies from the sending address?
Sorry, as far as I am aware there is no cron support. This is something possibly for the future.Cron job might be useful when sending out many emails

yes, therefore I made the suggestion with the cron job. Especially for sending out larger amounts of emails it would be helpful to be as powerful as e.g. acajoom.

To extend my wish list, here are the features that would be nice:
* Availability in front end for special user groups (e.g. author and above)
* varying reply-to address from sender address
* sending via cron job
* possibility so schedule the time when sending it out
* statistics for html mails about who read the email
