[SOLVED] Installation problem

[SOLVED] Installation problem was created by TobyL
php 5.3.2
CB 1.2.3
Joomla 1.5.20

I have downloaded and unzipped the latest version of CB.
When I try to upload the com_comprofiler.zip file I get the error message:

* JFolder::create: Could not create directory
* Warning! Failed to move file.

When I try to install the same file from a directory that I have uploaded it to I get the error message:

Please enter a package directory

I don't have any SEF or ACL components.

What might be causing this?

Thanks for your help.

Typically a permissions issue. Have you tried using FTP mode? If already using FTP have you tried without FTP? Please check your component/ or tmp/ folders and ensure they've the proper permissions (possibly 777, 755, or 644). Contact your host for the best permissions level for write access.
