Hi dears,

Congratulations for all the job!
Before writing here I've search for days everywhere... but I didn'f find any usefull solution...

probabile I'm missing something.

I'm bulding a multilingual joomla website (1.5.20) with SOBI2 and CB.
I've installed Joomfish to take care of all the languages thing.

Everything works fine, event the SOBI2 plugin for CB... I was able to translate the most of it ;)

There is just something that is not working.
I would like the users to "write" something about them on their profile and they would like to do it in Italian and in English. Is it possible?

For the moment I was able to translate all tabas and fields, but I'm not finding any solution to translate the content too. Is there a solution that you know?

Another option could be to dispaly / import a content (article) directly inside a tab... different for each user.. so they can easily translate it.

Do you think it is possible to do something like this? I've found "CB Menu Page Tab" thats looks nice... but actually it forced for everyobody the menu item to be shown.

User input content can't be translated. You'd have to dynamically generate a translation everytime the user changed their profile data and that would require a new integration plugin. You'd also then need to translate that string everytime they changed it. A better approach is to provide something like Google Translate for your site to avoid any such issues.

Hello,
Could it be possible to make 2 fields, one for each lang, they don't have to be dinamically translated, and show one of them for 1st lang and the other for 2nd lang.

Do you understand?

No, field display is not conditional to a language. If you're using Select fieldtypes you can of course translate its values. If it's say a Text field then you can not translate its contents.
