I've been trying to figure it out myself but there doesn't seem to be much info about it yet and unless I'm mistaken joomlapolis profiles do not have the privacy plugin enabled.
I'm considering buying cb subs mainly because of this feature.
-Can every registered user choose if people other than his connections are able to to view their profile, wall, gallery etc. or not?
-Can users choose to be invisible on userlists?
-Can they hide their online status?
My website is socialy driven which makes these options very important to me.
("Less important": is it generally possible to allow a user to embed his adsense or other ad network into his profile without the admin actually having to place every module? this is just an idea. )

Yes, as for tabs if the tab shows up in Edit Profile then yes privacy controls can be applied to that tab; otherwise no. All fields can be protected with privacy controls. No, but you may configure it so fields protected by privacy controls do not show up in userlists.-Can users choose to be invisible on userlists?
No, this is because the tab and fields do not show up in Edit Profile.-Can they hide their online status?
