Is there an extension (or plans to develop future feature) that can automate email work flow for the CB registered users?
I want to be able to design auto responder emails that will be scheduled to email to the CB registered users at scheduled intervals and will take them through a work flow of promotional upgrade messages.
Does anyone know of such a solution or does the CB dev team have any intentions to implement this in the future?
I believe this feature (along with an article drip content work flow system) would make CB a complete CMS solution for marketers.

Seams like that's precisely what a newsletter extension is intended to do. We as far as I am aware have no plans to make a full fledged newsletter capable feature available. We're relatively close with mass mailer, but you can not time emails. I recommend reviewing newsletter extensions on Joomla.org extension directory.
