Some general questions

I have to start by saying I'm very new to this so please forgive my beginner status.
I have installed CB 1.2.3 on my Joomla 1.6 site
www.jellyfishconnection.com, on a recommendation by someone because i was getting lots of Spam registering. The spam stopped until this weekend just gone when i had 3 register so i've changed it so that i have to approve people who register manually.
My first question - how can allow my registered users to comment on articles, is there a plugin perhaps that you could recommend or is this option already possible and i just can't find how to enable it?
2nd - i would like to have a blog, currently all the content on my website is in article layout. the JED has 265 to choose from and i do not have time to find the best one from such a long list, perhaps there is something suitable for CB?

Please note simply installing CB does not make us a central hub for consultation. Please exhaust all resources before requesting recommendations, very appreciated. Typically Joomla.org extension directory is the location for all your resource needs.
