Tabs & Core fields missing

Tabs & Core fields missing was created by geoffr
Here's what I did... where did I go wrong?

I have copied the CB 1.7.1 tables over from a J1.5 install to a J1.7 install. I replaced the J1.7 comprofiler tables with those from the j1.5 site, as they are both CB 1.7.1.

All seems fine, but CB Tabs using the CB Core plugin are not in the list in the CB Tab Manger, thus those fields not appearing in the User Management details.

Can anyone advise on how to get those core fields to display? Is there a CONFIG file somewhere that needs updating too?

thanks,
Geoff

First off check your table prefix, you may have been using something like jos_comprofiler in your 1.5 install but are now using something like W0x192_comprofiler as your 1.7 prefix.

Second, you may need to use a migration tool to update your tables from 1.5 to 1.7, I think Nant mentioned something called cb juice in another thread about migrating.

Thanks. Yes, I do have a different table prefix, but I updated the names of each of the tables I copied over.

I understood that the CB tables of J1.5 CB1.7.1 were identical to J1.7. CB1.7.1

Is that true? If not, any idea what are the differences?

thanks,
Geoff

CB 171 tables are identical regardless of Joomla version.

Something else has gone wrong with your migration.
