how to disable Latest version checker in configuration page?

hi
1-i want disable Latest version in second line of configuration of cb. how to do that? 
2-if i want use interanet and can not connect to the internet,is it return me any error in use of CB or any low speed in load page?

CB > Configuration > Integrations

I suggest turning off version checking in CB configuration and unpublishing the news and updates modules in backend if you don't have internet otherwise the HTTP calls will timeout after a few seconds.
