Does anybody know what extension or plugin can I use to protect the username and password from my users on my website.

Please give more information as to what you are looking for. Right now the passwords of your users are encoded in the database and cannot be read by anyone.
Your user's usernames are secure if you make the user profiles, forum, userlists etc non-public.
