Only one field to fill in day off birth. was created by hansvanlieshout
Hi There,

Excuse me for my bad Englisch.

I would like to use a birth date field to show the birth date as well as the age of the person. As far as I can see this isn't possible. Could anyone advise please?

My only solution now seems to make two fields with the same data and I don't think that's the way it should be done. Not very user-friendly either............

I haven't tried this myself, but how about creating a delimiter field which displays the date of birth using substitutions?

Use a substitution to display the birthdate field, as described in many threads, in www.allmysocials.com/tutorials or magazine.joomla.org/issues/Issue-Aug-2010/item/133-CB-Delimiter-Field-Magic .

Thanks for this solution!
But it brings me to an other problem.
De site i've being running is Dutch. I've have installed de dutch laguage and this works perfect for me.
Only when i use the solution that has being given, the dateformat is not correct. The frontend shows Y, M, D,
In Holland is this a problem. how can i make the date shows DD, MM, YYYY.
Thanks,
Hans
