Installation of CB 1.7 of JOOMLA 1.7 fails

Installation of CB 1.7 of JOOMLA 1.7 fails was created by hoggarth

Hi - the initial installation com_comprofiler.zip works, but then the 'finishinstallation' task fails - just sits there with a blank screen. I followed the FAQ guidance - turned debug on, and inserted the

ini_set( 'display_errors', true ); error_reporting( E_ALL );

into the administrator/index.php. Same result - blank screen and no error messages. Any thoughts on what to try next?

what do you mean by the initial installation works and the finishinstallation fails?

I have the same problem, but a 500 Internal Server Error.

Finishinstalation means: index.php?option=com_comprofiler&task=finishinstallation

I have joomla 1.7.2
