User syncing - Needs doing all the time?

13 years 2 months ago #153946 by xtech86
Hi,

Have I missed some thing? was I supposed to setup a cron job? because for some weird reason every time I run check users DB, I get something along the lines of:

Warning: 7 entries in users table without corresponding comprofiler table rows.

users id: 553, 554, 556, 557, 560, 562, 563 are missing in comprofiler table

And have to sync users, should this not be done automatically?

If you are using CB Login module no syncingis needed ... obviously you are not.

I am actually using mod_cblogin. The original login is disabled. I am also using Csubs and rokbridge with phpBB3

Are you allowing users to register through phpBB3?

No I wasn't providing a link... However, registrations were enabled, I have disabled forum registrations completely and just allowing the site registrations. Upon creating a new account and login in, it seems to have worked without creating a sync issue.

I will see how I get on in the upcoming weeks:).

Just looked at the system mail account, and looks like scripts were auto registering accounts via the phpBB3 registration so obviously showing a link or not wouldn't matter!

Thanks for the phpBB3 heads up :).
