Does it need to be inside a certain div or inside an article or something? Does the position of the Gallery Mod matter, or where it's placed on the page as far as code in order for it to pick up the ItemID? It seems to pick it up on CB pages but not others.

Ok, on a related issue, I installed something called cometchat, and the profile links there also

This one is even without the index.php but also with no itemid. Is there a way to make all links to Porilfes have an itemid appended? In case there are other plugins that do this. Maybe with the mod_url rewriting option??? I briefly read about it. I have SEF turned on right now in addition.

I can't help you regarding 3rd party extensions. Its up to them to properly construct the URLs. CB has a function called "cbSef", which handles the addition of Itemid. Why it's not working outside of CB pages in the gallery module am unsure of at this point as it has not been investigated yet.
