Hi,
Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems there is a problem when trying to make new connections due to CB Privacy. If two un-connected users have set their profile's Privacy to Connections, then how can they get connected since you have to go to a user's profile page to send a connection request. Is there some other way for users to request connections than by going to the profile page and clicking "Request Connection." For example, in Facebook, even if two un-connected users have private profiles (only visible to friends), they can still send a friend request to one another. So how can it be done with CB? If it can't, this function seems pretty important to add.

I wouldn't use profile privacy in that case, but instead use tab or field privacy to block all but the most basic info (e.g. block everything except the canvas, photo, and formatname maybe). Profile Privacy blocks entire access to the profile; it doesn't assume everyone is going to use Connections privacy type. At any rate I've added a feature ticket to have more fine control over what the profile privacy protects.
