[#5490] Automated message from CB connect was created by gjvanwijk63
After submitting a connection request to another user I receive an automated message (Uddelm) in my Inbox.

It says something like "User x accepted your connectioon request....etc etc" The links in this message (1 to the user profile and 1 to the option manage connection) both open in a new window. I checked the source code and indeed there is a target="_blank" param in the html code.

I want to change this to taget="_self" to prevent the opening of more tabs.

In which code or which settings can I change this?

Thx in advance

We're not adding a target. I'm guessing UddeIM maybe doing that. There maybe a parameter to turn that off in UddeIM.

When I scan the cbconnect.php file I see several taget="_blank" parms in the php code. So you do add some targets. The message containing these targets is a message that the cb connect creates when a user accept a connection request. UddeIm is just the client in this case, not the creator of that automated message.

So I guess it has something to do with the cb connect plugin.

I think you are mixing things up.

Connections between users is a built-in features of Community Builder.

It has nothing to do with the CB Connect add-on (part of Professional membership) that is used to allow people to sign-up on your website using their other social network credentials (e.g., facebook).

Yes you're right. I checked the wrong php file. The cbconnections.php doesn't contain any targets. Sorry for that.

Still can't figure out what to do, because I scanned the UddelM source code and there's no target parm as well.

The admin panel of UddelM has no settings for this......

What surprises me though that the content of the message is created within the connections proces somewhere. It is a system message you receive after someone accepted your connection request. So the links (containing the targets) must be put in the message by a cb proces I guess....

We're not adding a target to the HTML found below.

IN: libraries/CBLib/CB/Legacy/cbConnection.php
ON: Line 142 and 153

You can see where UddeIM is doing this below in its BBCode parser.

IN: components/com_uddeim/bbparser.php
ON: Lines 132 - 133

It looks like topurl BBCode is available though, which we can utilize in our HTML to BBCode function, but we'll need to test the URL first as we only want internal URLs being top level. Have added a feature ticket for this for a later release.
