[SOLVED] auto move to groups after registration was created by fredc15
Hi,
I am trying to figure out whether to use a conditional or auto-action:
1. People will register placing them into one of two groups based on field selection at registration.
2. If Course 2016 is selected, then student would be in Student 2016 group
3. If Course 2017 is selected, then student would be in Student 2017 group
How do I set this up to automate movement into one of two groups based on Course selection at registration?
I think I would use an auto-action
Triggers: "onAfterSaveUserRegistration
Type: Field
User: Automatic
Acces: Everybody
Condition: I have no clue how to set this up

The below should work fine. You'll need 2 auto actions for that.

1: [FIELD_NAME] Equal To Course 2016
Action
Mode: Add Usergroups
Groups: Student 2016
Global
Triggers: onAfterUserRegistration

Replace FIELD_NAME with the actual name of your course field. I wasn't sure if you were referring to Usergroups or CB GroupJive Groups so the above is with Usergroups.
